What has surprised you most about teaching at Power Hour 360?
“The workouts truly can be modified for all fitness levels. We work with athletes and people who haven’t ever worked out before.”
What might someone be surprised to know about you? What might someone be surprised to know about you?
“I’m actually a very shy person and never thought I’d be teaching group classes. After teaching my first group class years ago, I fell in love with it and can’t imagine doing anything else. Fitness has impacted my life so much that I can’t help but share it with others!”
Tell me about something or someone who has influenced your passion for fitness and personal training?
“Cheryl, a fitness director that I job shadowed in high school, inspired me to pursue my career in fitness. I was always average when it came to playing sports but I fell in love with working out, especially in a group fitness setting. Cheryl inspired me to reach my fitness goals and that made me want to do the same for others.”
FINAL QUESTION: What would you tell someone thinking about joining Power Hour 360?
Give it a try! It’s great for beginners and advanced fitness levels. The coaches will walk you through everything and you’ll leave with lots of exercise endorphins!

Chanell is a native Seattlite, a rare find these days, whose passion for fitness started in high school. She was average at sports but found her true calling in the weight room. After a job shadowing opportunity at a local gym, she knew she wanted to dedicate her life to helping people achieve their fitness goals. She followed the sunshine to southern California where she got her degree in Exercise Sport Science. She lived in Brazil for a couple years, where she found a way to keep fitness in her life by teaching classes to EXPATS. She has taught at big box gyms, boutique studios, and owned her own fitness company. When she’s not in the gym, she enjoys hiking and stand up paddle boarding (especially Yoga SUP).
